the inaugural Australian Fuel and Convenience Awards

With over 61,000 Australians employed throughout our industry, and more than $75b turnover annually, this essential industry and all of the businesses within it are worth acknowledging.

These awards are designed to recognise F&C businesses (Retailers and Suppliers) and fuel supply businesses (Distributors and Wholesalers) that are making tangible contributions to the quality and future viability of the fuel and convenience industry in Australia.

Demonstrating a wholesale commitment to wage, public safety and environmental protection via active compliance practices.

Implementing actions that are specifically focused on maintaining the safety, well-being and career development of the people that work within the business.

Demonstrating leadership in business innovation in a way that delivers tangible benefits for customers and staff.

Delivering Sustainable Outcomes

Taking action to improve the environmental performance of their business (and the wider industry) in an economically sustainable manner.

Community Spirit

Demonstrating exceptional leadership and support at a community level.

The first 4 key areas are used to determine National Award Winners for;

        • Equipment Supplier of the Year
        • Shop Supplier of the Year
        • Small Retailer of the Year
        • Large Retailer of the Year
        • Small Distributor of the Year
        • Large Distributor of the year

The 5th key area is be used to determine the National Award Winner for the Marg Taylor Award for Community Spirit.

The 2024 AFC Awards will be presented at the AFC Awards Dinner

Category 1a: Small Retailer (<20 sites)
Category 1b: Large Retailer (20+ sites)
Category 1 is open to F&C retail businesses and C-Store stand alone businesses
Category 2a: Shop Supplier
Category 2b: Forecourt, Equipment and Service Supplier
Category 2 is open to all businesses supplying goods and services to Australian F&C businesses
Category 3a: Fuel Supplier (<150ML pa)
Category 3b: Fuel Supplier (150ML+ pa)
Category 3 is open to fuel suppliers, fuel wholesale and fuel distribution businesses
Category 4: Community SpiritCategory 4 is open is any business that meets category 1, 2 or 3 above
