ACAPMA and Convenience World are proud to announce the applications for the 2023 Australian Fuel and Convenience (AFC) Awards are now open.
With over 61,000 Australians employed throughout our industry, and more than $75b turnover annually, this essential industry and all of the businesses within it are worth acknowledging.
These awards are designed to recognise P&C businesses (Retailers and Suppliers) and fuel supply businesses (Distributors and Wholesalers) that are making tangible contributions to the quality and future viability of the fuel and convenience industry in Australia.

The 2023 AFC Awards are framed around operational excellence in 5 key areas:
Compliance Excellence
Demonstrating a wholesale commitment to wage, public safety and environmental protection via active compliance practices.
Create Safe & Healthy Workplaces
Implementing actions that are specifically focussed on maintaining the safety, well-being and career development of the people that work within the business.
Championing Innovation
Demonstrating leadership in business innovation in a way that delivers tangible benefits for customers and staff.
Delivering Sustainable Outcomes
Taking action to improve the environmental performance of their business (and the wider industry) in an economically sustainable manner.
Community Spirit
Demonstrating exceptional leadership and support at a community level.

The first 4 key areas will be used to identify 6 national award winners in 3 separate categories.
The 5th key area will be used for a stand-alone national award that recognises excellence in community support.

Category 1a: Small Retailer (<20 sites) Category 1b: Large Retailer (20+ sites) | Category 1 is open to P&C retail businesses and Convenience only retail businesses. |
Category 2a: Shop Supplier Category 2b: Forecourt, Equipment and Service Provider | Category 2 is open to all businesses supplying goods and services to Australian fuel businesses. |
Category 3a: Fuel Supplier (<150ML pa) Category 3b: Fuel Supplier (150ML + pa | Category 3 is open to fuel suppliers, fuel wholesale and fuel distribution businesses. |
Category 4: Community Spirit (all) | Category 4 is open is any business that meets category 1, 2 or 3 above. |
